The idea of Wice was born after the preparation of the 2020 Eurovision Songfestival turned out to become a big venue finding circus on Dutch national television. Why does finding a venue still work like that? While watching the circus, Bart submitted a request for his kitchen renovation on Werkspot, a digital marketplace for small construction work. This sparked an idea. What if we apply a similar concept to MICE by matching request data with suitable venues? A few months later an online interview led to some talks with Ruben, Tom and Mark, who just launched Hypermice, a digital minded venue finding agency. They turned out to have similar ideas so it felt like a logical step to merge powers. The team got even stronger with the addition of Tim as a backend developer and Stephan with background in commercial hospitality. The group was complete, a full service team in which hospitality and technology is beautifully combined.
